We started by enjoying Madeira wine at Blandy’s wine lodge and then made our way around town trying chocolate, traditional biscuits, fish, pork, bolodo bread, more wine and local fruits. “An enjoyable half day on 4x4 trip, felt safe in the land-rover we were in and the driver was very good and friendly. Drove to 1300 feet in moundains on this beautiful island. Unfortunately the maderia wine /tasting was closed, so that was bad planning, and we were interested in that part of the tour. The driver took us to small town nearby, but very little there. Still enjoyable worth the money.”
